Let it snow
December 16, 2006The temperature of today is more like an early autumn day, but that doesn't stop people from decorating Gothenburg with all sorts of lights. As always, there is only one rule: More than last year.
But it seems like the expensive tradition is catching up on people. I've read articles in the local papers where "enough" was frequently used, but even though it is big waste of money I still like the idea of illuminating the town during the month where there is only about seven hours of daylight.
Love it or hate it, but here are a few images from Christmas past and present to give non-residents an idea of what it's all about.
"Christmas is all around us, come on and let it snow..." as the venerable Billy Mack once put it.
